Roofcast Privacy Policy

Roofcast B.V., a Dutch private limited liability company (besloten vennootschap), with a business address at Branderijstraat 55, 5223 AS ’s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands (“Roofcast,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information you share with us.

This Privacy Policy explains how Roofcast collects, uses, stores, and shares information when users access the Roofcast platform, website, forecasting competition, community features, and related services.

1. Platform Overview

Roofcast is a play-money forecasting, research, and community platform focused on real estate market sentiment, analytical forecasting, and forecasting-related discussions. Roofcast does not offer real-money wagering, financial products, or investment services.

2. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide

We may collect information that users voluntarily provide, including:

• i.Identifiers: full name or display name; email address; IP address;
• ii.Account Information: account credentials;
• iii.User Content: comments, posts, and analytical content submitted on the platform; survey responses; communications with Roofcast.
• iv.Promotion and Reward Information: if you are selected to receive a promotional reward, your full name, confirmation of Florida residence and age, and the email address of your payment account (for example, PayPal).

b. Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect technical and usage-related information, including:

• i.Internet Activity: browser type, and browsing activity; leaderboard activity; forecasting activity; referral URLs; pages visited; session duration; interaction data; timestamps and log data
• ii.Additional User information: device type; operating system.

3. Analytics & Tracking

Roofcast uses analytics and error-monitoring tools provided by third-party services to understand platform usage, improve product performance, and keep the platform stable. Your IP address is used to determine your location, because access to the platform is limited by region.

4. How We Use Information

Roofcast may use collected information to:

• a.operate and maintain the platform;
• b.manage user accounts;
• c.administer forecasting competitions;
• d.calculate rankings and leaderboard positions;
• e.provide customer support;
• f.improve product functionality;
• g.conduct forecasting and behavioral research;
• h.analyze user engagement and retention;
• i.prevent abuse, spam, fraud, and manipulation;
• j.verify eligibility for, administer, and deliver promotional rewards, and publish winner information as described in the Official Promotion Rules;
• k.communicate updates, announcements, or platform information;
• l.enforce platform policies and legal obligations.

5. User Content

Users are responsible and liable for their submitted content. Users should not submit personal information they do not wish to make available to other users. Comments, posts, analyses, and other content submitted to Roofcast may be visible to other users. By submitting content to Roofcast, users grant Roofcast a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, amend, reproduce, analyze, distribute, and use submitted content for platform operations, analytics, research, moderation, and promotional purposes.

6. Competition & Research Data

Roofcast may aggregate anonymized, or de-identified information derived from forecasting activity and platform engagement for research; platform improvement; market intelligence, and analytics purposes.

7. Sharing of Information

Roofcast does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Roofcast may engage with, and share personal information with service providers that process personal information on Roofcast’s behalf for hosting, analytics, communications, security, and operational purposes, including:

• a.infrastructure providers;
• b.analytics providers;
• c.email delivery providers;
• d.cloud hosting providers;
• e.moderation and security providers;
• f.legal or regulatory authorities when required by law;
• g.professional advisors, legal counsel, or auditors;
• h.authentication and account providers (Openfort);
• i.customer support and chat providers (Crisp);
• j.payment providers (such as PayPal) to deliver promotional rewards.

If you receive a promotional reward, your username, profile picture, country, and prediction statistics may be published as described in the Official Promotion Rules, and your name may be included in the winners list that Roofcast makes available on request.

Information may also be disclosed to protect platform integrity, to investigate abuse or fraud, to enforce platform policies, and during corporate restructuring, financing, or company acquisition processes.

8. International Users

Roofcast B.V. is established in the Netherlands and is the controller of your personal information. Access to the platform is limited to Florida. Information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the Netherlands and the United States, by Roofcast and its service providers.

9. Users in the EEA and the United Kingdom

Although the platform is not available there, if the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) or the UK GDPR applies to our processing of your personal information, the following applies. We process personal information on the following legal bases: (i) performance of our contract with you, to provide your account, the platform, competitions and promotional rewards; (ii) our legitimate interests in securing the platform, preventing fraud and abuse, improving our product, and conducting research on aggregated or de-identified data; (iii) your consent, for non-essential cookies and optional communications, which you may withdraw at any time; and (iv) compliance with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules. We retain account information for as long as your account exists and for up to twelve (12) months afterwards, and records of promotional rewards and payments for seven (7) years as required by Dutch tax law. You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent. Requests may be sent to info@roofcast.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

10. Data Retention

Roofcast retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and support legitimate research and business operations.

11. Security

Roofcast uses commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information. However, no platform or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users access and use the platform at their own risk.

12. User Rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to request access to personal information; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of certain information; object to certain processing activities; request export of personal information. Requests may be submitted to info@roofcast.com. Residents of certain states may have privacy rights under applicable law. Where required by law, Roofcast will honor valid consumer privacy requests and may take reasonable steps to verify identity before responding. California residents may have rights under applicable California law, including rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information and to receive information regarding categories of information collected, disclosed, or used by Roofcast.

13. Children

Roofcast is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. Roofcast does not knowingly collect information from minors. If Roofcast becomes aware that it has collected personal information from persons under the age of 18, it will take reasonable steps to delete such information.

14. Third-Party Services

Roofcast’s platform may contain third party content, APIs, or links connected to third-party platforms or services. Roofcast’s community is hosted on Telegram. When you join or use the Roofcast community on Telegram, Telegram collects and processes your information under its own terms and privacy policy, and Roofcast can see the content you post there and your Telegram username. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google processes your sign-in under its own terms and privacy policy. Roofcast is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-parties. Users should review third-party privacy policies independently.

15. Surveys & Feedback

Survey responses are stored privately and are only accessible internally for research, product improvement, and pilot evaluation purposes. Responses may be associated with platform activity for analytics purposes.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Roofcast may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions become effective upon posting. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
